Skyrock® Flexible Corner Tape features
For drywall applications—creates strong corners on any inside or outside corner, including vaulted and coffered ceilings.
Installs quickly and easily with joint compound to eliminate nail pops.
Combines the strength of steel with the superior bond of compound to paper using two rust resistant 10 mm wide galvanized steel strips.
Unique nose coating minimizes scuffing and fuzzing when finishing and sanding.
Tape-on inside and outside corners-for any corner.
Resistant to edge cracking and chipping.
Low profile for easier finishing.
Skyrock® Flexible Corner Tape application
Apply over dry surface only. Maintain minimum air, joint compound and surface temperature of 15°C until joint compound is completely dry. Using a 150 mm knife, apply joint compound to inside or outside corner of drywall
Fold tape at center. With the metal side of tape facing drywall surface, embed tape firmly in compound. Remove extra compound with taping knife. Allow to dry
For inside corners apply compound to one side, let dry, then apply compound to the other side. Apply another coat of compound, feathering beyond prior coat, let dry. If needed smooth with wet sponge. Sand the surface after compound dries, sand with a wet sponge to eliminate dust or use 150-grit or finer sandpaper or 220-grit or finer abrasive mesh cloth. Avoid scuffing panel paper.
